Snap & Soar: Interactive Murals for Joyful Moments

Theme & Partnership

Calling all visionary artists! We invite you to create an interactive mural, using your canvas to inspire, engage, and uplift the community through your art!

We are seeking artists who can transform canvases into works of art that encourage viewers to pose for photos and share moments of joy with those around them with the mural’s immersive elements. Whether it is through mystical wings, playful backdrops, or other unique forms of interactive magic, you are invited to submit a proposal and be a part of this artistic journey for the next round of mobile murals. This theme celebrates the fusion of art and happiness, inviting you to engage with vibrant murals that are designed to make viewers smile. These murals are intended to brighten each day, one snapshot at a time.

The Mobile Mural Program, presented by Brooksville Main Street, is made possible by the Florida Division of Arts & Culture grant and with the support of the Hernando County Fine Arts Council and our generous sponsors.

  • Dana Donkle

    Dana Donkle

My name is Dana Donkle, and I am a marine science educator and artist under the name Octopus Garden Art. I express the interconnectedness of our natural world through surrealism--such as the unfamiliar allure of octopuses enwrapped in the obvious beauty of flowers. I approach my art with a spirit of exploration, embracing diverse themes in nature, varied brushstrokes, and a vibrant palette of colors. I share my work through a variety of platforms such as live painting, showing in galleries, working markets, and murals. I've worked at a variety of marine science non-profits, and leave my mark in the form of an educational mural at each of them, and hope to continue mural projects well into my future.”

  • Cassidy Wilson

    Cassidy Wilson

Hi, I’m Cassidy Wilson of Cassidye’s Closet. I have been creating art for as long as I can rememberwhether it’s with a brush on canvas or thread and fabric, I always find myself using art to process life. When the pandemic first hit and masks were no where to be found, I used my new found free time to sew masks for individuals that were part of my local assisted living community.

From that, I started my business Cassidye’s Closet and expanded my sewing to bucket-hats and other articles of clothing that were eco friendly while still being affordable fashion. I am a proud member of Conscious Art Collaboration LLC and have traveled all over the country vending at music festivals and art shows, alongside partners Aura Art and JAM Art.
